This little gal is Susie, a 2-1/2 year old terrier (she was listed as Wheaten/blonde Cairn Terrier). Yep, Susie was quite a buy, a proven breeder, sold as pregnant. She whelped a litter of five puppies on 28 March, and would have paid a miller back her purchase price almost immediately. Luckily for Susie, this will be her last litter. Luckily for the pups, they were born in a clean place with warm blankets under them and gentle hands to care for them. All will be altered and adopted out into carefully screened, loving homes. We cannot even think about what their lives would have been had a rescue group not "won" Susie's auction. |
